This collection, influenced by the Japanese culture and the Scandinavian minimalism, aims to capture the 10 rules of Ikigai, each interpreted on an individual painting. On Indira’s raw canvases, low key colors and inks swirl around forming messages to the observer as a note-to-self to remember to nurture their own meaning of being, their personal Ikigai. The signature aesthetic of the series is characterized by shapes and placements that create captivating negative spaces, flirting with minimalism and the concept of less is more. In this collection, Indira creates with a Wabi-Sabi mindset, allowing herself to be fully creative by painting with the three principles of ”nothing lasts, nothing is finished and nothing is perfect” in mind.
